Louisa is a highly skilled pianist, Suzuki piano teacher and composer who resides in Sydney, New South Wales. She grew up as a Suzuki piano student and was classically trained by Nada Brissenden. In 2017, Louisa completed her Bachelor of Music / Bachelor of Education (Secondary) degree from the University of New South Wales. She has worked as a classroom music teacher at Abbotsleigh Senior School and currently teaches at Brigidine College Randwick.
Louisa has performed at special events including the International Suzuki Conference (2005), World Youth Day Celebrations (2008) and the Suzuki Graduation Concerts which take place annually at the Sydney Opera House. She has over 18 years experience studying Classical piano and has worked with teachers including Erica Booker, Zohara Rotem and Dr Christine Logan.
Louisa believes that every child has musical potential. With the correct training and a nurturing environment all children can become successful musicians. She believes in Dr Suzuki's philosophy that "musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed." All children can learn to play music just as all children can learn to speak their mother-tongue.
